The Friendly Forest and A New Format!

Well we have a new format here at Awesomely Indie. The good news is, I will be featuring up to 12 fabulous Etsy items a day! The bad news- well it may not be bad news to you, but there will be less editorial for each item. The new format will give more exposure to Etsy artisans, and that is what this blog is all about. It's pretty much like my own personal treasuries on a daily basis! I can't ever seem to get a treasury anway, so I'll make my own. So with that said, let's get on with today's picks:

Cold Hearted Snake

Who doesn't love the 80's classic and Paula Abdul hit- Cold Hearted Snake? I started singing this song in my head as soon as I saw this amazing bag by gogovivi on Etsy.

Kiley of gogovivi sent me a wonderful email to check out her handbags. Of course I did, and I found this gorgeous handmade leather handbag with snakeskin accent. Kiley hit a special place in my heart when she told me she is a stay at home mom, making bags and raising her little girl in a foreign country. I am a mother too, and only dream about the "stay at home" part. No matter if you're a mom, or not, you will love these gorgeous bags she makes. My favorite bag in her Etsy shop is this modern satchel in black leather.

 

To compliment your new handbag, I found this super sleek snakeskin cuff by UNEARTHED.  They use genuine snakeskin, and line it with a silver cuff. Very modern and chic!

Oops- An Unplanned Hiatus

So sorry everyone that I went MIA last week! We had sickness galore in my household last week. Children should come with a warning label that says "You will get sick everytime your kid does." My husband and I both were sick this week, so I let a few things slide- like posting to my blog. So here's y formal apology....

President's Day Sales!

I am most thankful for our glorious 44 presidents today, for giving me the day off! I get to have an extra day at home with my baby, and spending the entire day in my lovely new studio (aka spare bedroom turned craft room). You know what else makes me happy? Sales! I love modern designs, and I'm constantly seeing modern poppies that catch my eye. Here's some etsy finds with modern poppy designs:

Going To The Zoo

Okay, I'm not really going to the zoo, but after scoping out today's picks for Awesomely Indie, I'm kind of in the mood! Check out these great Giraffe-y finds from my fellow etsy sellers.

I just love this fun print and fabulous bag design by Annyandme. I'm a mom, and this bag is perfect for throwing in some diapers and heading out for errands (or the zoo)!
